Championship leaders Wolverhampton Wanderers reportedly made a stunning bid for AC Milan’s Andre Silva and now Premier League strugglers Swansea are keen.

AC Milan sporting director Massimiliano Mirabelli was in no mood to suggest that Andre Silva was set to leave the San Siro in January.
The Portuguese striker has not scored a league goal for the Rossineri since joining from Porto for £34 million in the summer, although Mirabelli told Pianeta Milan that the Serie A giants had no intention of cashing in.
This does not mean they will not have to field offers for Silva before the month is out, however.

Backed by Chinese owners Fosun International, Wolves have not been afraid to splash the cash recently and have broken their transfer record in each of the last three windows. And it almost goes without saying that Silva is a client of Jorge Mendes, the Iberian super-agent who has been pulling the strings behind the scenes at Molineux.

They were rebuffed in an attempt to sign Atletico Madrid’s £25 million-rated Kevin Gameiro and have now turned their attention to former Porto prodigy Silva.
Portuguese manager Carlos Carvalhal is hoping to add some firepower to his side, who have scored the fewest amount of goals in England’s top flight this season, and The Mail states that they have enquired about Silva’s availability.
While it seems unlikely that Milan will sell, or that Swansea can even afford the 22-year-old, a short-term loan move could be ideal as Silva aims to rediscover his golden touch before the World Cup.
