Bundesliga side Hannover reportedly want Sunderland’s Djilobodji after missing out on Norwich City’s Timm Klose.

If you were wondering just how desperate Sunderland are to get rid of Papy Djilobodji before Friday’s transfer deadline, reports in Bild should leave no one in any doubt.
It has been clear for some time that the seldom seen centre-back is not part of Sunderland’s plans, with his £30,000 a week wages far too high for a club playing their football in the third tier of English football.
Fortunately, Bundesliga team Hannover are allegedly interested in taking Djilobodji off their hands. And Bild is reporting that, in an attempt to get him out the door, the Black Cats will accept a substantial financial loss.
It is understood that Sunderland are demanding just £1 million for Djilobodji. Which, when you consider that they spent £8 million on signing him from Chelsea two years ago (BBC), rather highlights just what a poor signing he has been.

General manager Horst Heldt has made signing a defender a priority for Hannover and it is reported that they have turned their attention to Djilobodji after failing to sign the Norwich City defender Timm Klose.
The former Wolfsburg man’s £3.5 million price-tag was too costly, Bild report, with Djilobodji identified as a cheaper alternative.
