Sunderland may have an advantage over Aberdeen in the race to sign Ryan Christie from Celtic in the summer transfer window.
According to The Sunderland Echo, Scottish Premiership club Aberdeen and Sunderland in League One in England are interested in the 23-year-old midfielder.
Sunderland manager Jack Ross himself has said that he wants to secure the services of the Scotland international, as quoted by The Sunderland Echo.
The Sunderland Echo has also claimed that Christie is keen to test himself in England, and this could give the Black Cats an advantage over Aberdeen.
The former Inverness Caledonian Thistle star – who earns £4000 per week as salary, according to The Daily Star – has been on loan at The Dons for the past 18 months and has been quite successful as well.

While Sunderland are playing in the third tier of English football at the moment, the Black Cats are a massive club with a lot of ambition.
Joining Sunderland on a season-long loan deal from Celtic in the summer transfer window would not be a bad move for Christie.
