Jack Ross admitted before taking over League One Sunderland that he dreams of coaching the Scottish national team.

Sunderland fans have enough to worry about right now, with promotion to the Championship on the line heading into the final few weeks of a thrilling League One season.
So the fact that the Scottish national team are now searching for a new manager could prove to be a very unwelcome distraction.
The SFA decided to put the much-maligned Alex McLeish out of his misery on Thursday, a month after Scotland suffered a humiliating 3-0 defeat away at Kazakhstan in their opening Euro 2020 qualifier.

And the fact that current Sunderland manager Jack Ross announced his intention to manage the national side back in May 2018 has not passed Black Cats supporters by.
Ross was in charge of St Mirren when he made his admission about the dream job, in quotes reported by the Scottish Sun, and his reputation has been enhanced even further since then after a fine debut season in charge of Sunderland.
Ross’s ability to get the best out of the players at his disposal, and a tendency to bring through young talents, will no doubt appeal to the SFA after the questionable backwards step that was McLeish. No wonder the Sunderland fans are worried.
