Scott Brown and Callum McGregor have helped Celtic to another Scottish Premiership title, but Gary Dicker and Alan Power have impressed this season, too.

Stuart Findlay believes two of his Kilmarnock teammates deserve more credit, telling the Scottish Sun that Alan Power and Gary Dicker are every bit as talented as Celtic duo Scott Brown and Callum McGregor.

Brown and McGregor were instrumental as Celtic sealed an eighth successive Premiership title, and an unprecedented ‘treble treble’ is on the cards ahead of the cup final against Hearts at the end of May.

Despite his advancing years, 33-year-old Brown signed a contract extension with the Hoops in January while McGregor has arguably been the most impressive midfielder anywhere in Scottish football this season, providing 15 assists in all competitions.

Findlay, however, believes there is very little between Celtic’s tough-tackling duo and Kilmarnock pair Power and Dicker.

“Gary and Alan are the heartbeat of the team — everything comes from them — but they don’t get anywhere near the plaudits they deserve. Are they up there with Scott Brown and Callum McGregor? Of course,” said the former Celtic youngster, who was named Killie’s Player of the Year this week.

“Their use of the ball goes under the radar, people probably just look at them as tough-tackling midfielders, but they’ve repeatedly proved how good they are.”

Killie are on track to secure a third-placed finish in the Premiership this season, meaning Steve Clarke’s side are due to play Europa League football in 2019/20 as it stands.

Clarke, meanwhile, is set to stay in Ayrshire after seemingly showing no interest in taking over at Celtic or becoming the Scotland national team boss.
