Stoke City’s Premier League relegation will be well received by Wolverhampton Wanderers, who reportedly want both Jack Butland and Joe Allen.

We may still be in April but Wolverhampton Wanderers are not waiting around in the transfer market.
The club’s billionaire Chinese owners are already planning to spend big to turn the Championship winners into a Premier League force – and are reportedly ready to spend around £55 million on two players who look set to be relegated from the top flight this season.
But fear not Wolves fans. Joe Allen and Jack Butland are two members of Stoke City’s squad who could not be criticised if the Potters’ 10 year stay in the Premier League comes to an end before the campaign is out.

And they will both be offered the chance to stay in the first division. The Sun states that Wolves are preparing a £20 million bid for Allen, the tenacious Welsh international who has arguably been Stoke’s standout performer in 2017/18.
And The Express is now reporting that Wolves are ready to hand Stoke a further £35 million in an attempt to beat Liverpool, Arsenal and West Ham United to Butland, the highly-rated goalkeeper who could be England’s number one at this summer’s World Cup.

Ignore the fact that Allen and Butland are 19th in the Premier League with just three games to go, signing two players from the Potters would suddenly give Wolves a much stronger spine with character and proven, top flight quality.
Allen and Butland may not be glamorous imported additions or Champions League starlets but if Wolves are to make a splash in the Premier League, these are the sort of solid signings the club needs to make. This double deal would make Wolves the envy of many a top flight club.
