Championship leaders Leeds United are reportedly hoping to snap up Swiss international Zuber from Bundesliga side Hoffenheim.

It would not be inaccurate to claim that Victor Orta’s signings at Leeds United have been mixed at best.
In fact, there is an argument to be made that the Spaniard has signed more flops than stars in the last two years. Only Pontus Jansson, Mateusz Klich, Gianni Alioski could perhaps be considered a real success so far.
But, in Steven Zuber, Leeds have been linked with a player who could be far and away the most inspired signing made by Orta since he arrived in West Yorkshire.
According to BILD, the Championship leaders are interested in signing the Hoffenheim midfielder with just 18 months left on his contract. Now, Zuber is hardly a household name in and around Leeds but that doesn’t mean that he would not be a fantastic signing.

The 27-year-old hasn’t always been a regular starter for Hoffenheim but he still stood out last season as Julien Nagelsmann’s side qualified for the Champions League for the first time in their history.
Zuber’s best performances, however, have arguably come for the Switzerland national team, for whom he has scored five goals in 20 caps. Skilful and creative coming in off the left flank, the former CSKA Moscow man is capable of the odd spectacular goal too.
Now, no player is guaranteed to thrive when moving to English football but if Zuber can adapt to the speed and power of the Championship then Orta could be making a signing that gives his reputation a massive boost.
With industry and creativity in abundance, Zuber could combine the best elements of both Alioski and the departed Samu Saiz.
