Scottish Premiership giants Rangers have three talented goalkeepers, one of whom is reportedly a target for English Championship side Bristol City.

The absence of Allan McGregor from Rangers’ starting XI for the Scottish League Cup clash with Kilmarnock on Sunday threw up an interesting situation.
Both back-up goalkeepers Wes Foderingham and Jak Alnwick have been linked with moves away from Ibrox before the transfer window closes at the end of August. And whoever got the nod to start against Killie would therefore surely be the man most likely to stay.
As it transpired, it was Foderingham who started between the sticks and he took his chance in style.
The 27-year-old, who has been Rangers’ number one for the last three seasons, produced two sensational saves to deny Chris Burke en route to Rangers’ 3-1 win at Rugby Park.

So what must Alnwick have been thinking from his position on the bench?
The Express reported that Bristol City are keen to sign the former Newcastle United youngster on loan with Lee Johnson looking for competition for the goalkeeping position at Ashton Gate.
With Rangers manager Steven Gerrard seemingly confirming that Alnwick is his number three, and therefore at risk of five months sat in the stands with McGregor and Foderingham ahead of him in the pecking order, the 25-year-old perhaps needs to leave if he wants first-team football.
