Jake Hastie is reportedly heading to Rangers this summer from Scottish Premiership rivals Motherwell.

Steven Gerrard has admitted that he wants to sign Motherwell winger Jake Hastie for Rangers this summer, in quotes reported by TEAMtalk.
Hastie has been in outstanding form since forcing his way into Stephen Robinson’s first team in January, scoring six times in 12 Scottish Premiership games to attract interest from a whole host of clubs on both sides of the border.
One of those is Rangers. And, as it stands, it seems that the Glasgow giants are leading the chase.
The Express claims that Rangers are in talks to sign Hastie on a pre-contract agreement and will pay Motherwell around £300,000 in compensation for a player also on the radar of Middlesbrough, Derby County, Hull City and Millwall.
And Gerrard has now broken his silence, admitting that the former Alloa Athletic loanee is indeed a target.

“It’s no secret that there’s an interest there but until we get it complete, there’s nothing really to say on it,” said the former Liverpool captain.
“I’m not going to sit here and deny it because obviously it’s out there that there is an interest.”
Hastie, who has been likened to Wales and Real Madrid star Gareth Bale, is expected to become the second highly-rated winger to join Rangers this summer after a deal for Kilmarnock’s Jordan Jones was concluded in January.
