Steven Gerrard’s Glasgow Rangers reportedly want Liverpool striker Dominic Solanke at Ibrox.

Rangers have been linked with Liverpool striker Dominic Solanke, and manager Steven Gerrard’s recent comments suggest that the Ibrox club could make a move for the youngster.
Earlier this month, The Scottish Sun reported that Rangers are interested in signing Solanke from Liverpool in the summer transfer window.
It was reported that the Ibrox club want to secure the services of the 20-year-old striker on a season-long loan deal.
Gerrard’s recent comments about Rangers’ transfer plan this summer suggest that the transfer of Solanke from Liverpool to the Gers could be on.

When asked by STV if he will look to use his Liverpool connections, Gerrard said: “Maybe.”
The Liverpool legend added: ”If there’s a player that we identify that we think is going to help Rangers and help this team become stronger, help us to be successful in the future we’ll go for that player whether he be at Liverpool or whether he be at any other club.”
Gerrard has also said that he wants to sign a striker in the summer transfer window, and has been quoted as saying by The Scottish Sun: “That’s an area we are looking at.
“When a legend goes out the door, and someone as good as Kenny Miller, whose been a goal scorer throughout his career, it’s a very difficult void to fill. Big shoes to fill. So it’s important that we try to get that one right. It is an area we’re looking at.”

Gerrard’s aforementioned comments do suggest that the Rangers could go back to Liverpool for Solanke, having already signed 20-year-old midfielder Ovie Ejaria on a season-long loan deal from the Reds.
England international striker Solanke, who earns £20,000 per week as salary according to Spotrac.com, is a good player who would be a smart signing for Rangers, especially on a season-long loan deal.
