Scottish Premiership giants Rangers may struggle to keep Alfredo Morelos at Ibrox with Championship sides linked.

Alfredo Morelos has only been a Rangers player for half a season but it’s already apparent that he sees Ibrox as a stepping stone onto supposedly bigger and better things.
Few had heard of the Colombian striker when he arrived at Ibrox from HJK Helsinki for around £1 million in the summer but he’s a household name in Glasgow these days. In total, Morelos has scored 12 goals in all competitions for Rangers.
While he has not quite delivered consistently since a stunning start to life in Scotland, it appears only a matter of time before clubs south of the border start becoming more and more aware of his potential.

And it appears that Morelos would welcome interest from England.
“I hope to keep doing very well and look for a bigger club in the Premier League at the end of the season,” Morelos said in quotes reported by Win Sports.
The tenacious striker has a long way to go before he is ready for England’s top flight though – at least in the eyes of Rangers fans.
He still lacks the reliability or the composure of, say, Celtic counterpart Moussa Dembele and, so far, the only English clubs interested appear to be based in the second tier.

For now, it seems that he must prove himself at Rangers before embracing grander ideas.
