Frank Lampard has had a positive start to life at Derby County, celebrating a 3-1 win against Brentford on Saturday at Pride Park.

It is perhaps no surprise that Frank Lampard is a big fan of an energetic central midfielder renowned for his ability to drive forward in attack.
Lampard, after all, was one of the most talented midfielders in European football during his Chelsea heyday. And he may have seen something of himself in Derby County ace Craig Bryson.
The Scot looked finished at Pride Park when he was farmed out on loan to Cardiff City in the summer of 2017, but he has returned to the first-team fold under Lampard, starting every one of Derby’s eight Championship games so far this season.
Bryson produced arguably his finest performance of the season in the Rams’ 3-1 win against high-flying Brentford on Saturday, setting up Harry Wilson’s goal following a trademark bursting run.
And Stephen Warnock, who played as a left-back for Derby in 2015/16, believes that Bryson is starting to find his best form again.
“Craig is an energetic player who gets round the pitch all the time,” former England international Warnock said on EFL on Quest (broadcast 22 September, 9:00pm).

“He probably hasn’t hit his best form at Derby over the last couple of seasons but (against Brenford) he was back to his best.”
Bryson was arguably the best midfielder in the Championship during the 2013/14 season, scoring a career-best 16 goals as Steve McClaren’s side narrowly missed out on promotion.
If Lampard can help Bryson get back to those levels, the Rams will have a real driving force in the centre of the park.
