La Liga winger Mikel Oyarzabal deserves a big move but could Jurgen Klopp’s Premier League runners-up Liverpool take a chance on the Spain star?

Mikel Oyarzabal has outgrown Real Sociedad and deserves a chance to join a Premier League giant like Liverpool, former Anoeta star Alberto Lopez has told Marca.
It has been a rather frustrating summer for Liverpool fans.
Just six weeks ago, Jurgen Klopp led the Reds to their sixth European crown but a failure to add to their talented yet rather small squad in the last month or so has some worried that they are standing still at a time when they should be bringing in fresh talent to challenge on all fronts again.
Oyarzabal is certainly one promising young forward Liverpool should perhaps be keeping track of, especially given the lack of competition for Mo Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane in attack.
The 22-year-old was in excellent form as Spain won the U21 European Championships this summer, his ability to play anywhere across the final third and press relentlessly from the front marking him out as a player who’d fit in perfectly under Klopp.
And Lopez, who spent 13 years at Sociedad between 1993 and 2006, believes Liverpool, or Chelsea for that matter, could be the perfect place for Oyarzabal to reach the next level.

“I think Mikel Oyarzabal does not have much time left in Real Sociedad. He has a lot of talent and I think there could be a big team (perfect for him) like Chelsea or Liverpool,” the 50-year-old said.
A left-footed right winger who loves to cut inside and wreak havoc, Oyarzabal has got better and better over the last three years and last season was his best yet with 14 goals in all competitions.
So far, there is no suggestion that he is on Liverpool’s radar but there aren’t many forwards out there right now who look better suited to playing under Jurgen Klopp.
