Is former AC Milan superstar Alexandre Pato really on his way to join Celtic in the Scottish Premiership?

The problem with Twitter, especially messages that consist of a single emoji, is that they can often get lost in translation.
But was Alexandre Pato really hinting at an impending move to Celtic when he posted an image of a shamrock, and nothing else, on his official Twitter page?
The shamrock is the universal symbol of Ireland and remains closely associated with Celtic Football Club, whose badge contains a flower very similar albeit with one extra leaf. But will we see the 28-year-old one time AC Milan wonder-kid wearing the green and white kit very soon?

It is fair to say some Celtic fans might be reading a little too much into this.
Pato was once viewed as one of the world’s hottest striking prospects during his formative years in Milan until the injuries started to take their toll. Now, the Pato Branco-native is plying his trade in China with Tianjin Quanjian after spells with Chelsea and Villarreal.
A record of 20 goals in 30 league games over in the Far East, however, suggest that Pato is at least rediscovering his mojo, although in an obviously inferior league to Serie A, La Liga or England’s top flight.

If Celtic were to sign Pato, it would be one of the most eye-catching deals anywhere in Europe. But, in reality, there is probably a logical explanation for this rather cryptic tweet.
