Premier League newcomers Wolverhampton Wanderers are reportedly set to beat Atletico Madrid, Borussia Dortmund and co for Shoya Nakajima.

Just who on earth is Shoya Nakajima? That is the question Wolverhampton Wanderers fans will be asking with reports in Portugal suggesting that an £18 million, record-equalling January deal is all but done (A Bola).
To say Nakajima is not a household name would be an understatement. The 24-year-old Japanese international is playing over in Portugal but he doesn’t represent Benfica, Porto or Sporting Lisbon.
Instead, the attacking midfielder is plying his trade for Portimonense, the side sitting 11th in the Primeira Liga table.
But while Nakajima is something of an unknown amongst fans, it seems that his impressive performances have not gone unnoticed from some of the biggest clubs around. According to Japan Times back in April, Atletico Madrid and Borussia Dortmund launched enquiries ahead of the summer transfer window.

And interest from two Champions League regulars suggests that Wolves could be about to pull off a real coup. Just because Nakajima is not a household name does not mean he is not a special talent.
The forward contributed ten goals and set up 13 more in all competitions last season and, according to A Bola, Southampton and Leicester City have also been keeping an eye on him.
