Harry Forrester appears to have a new club already, one day after being released by Scottish Premiership outfit Rangers.

Not many players go from AFC Wimbledon to the Iranian top flight within the space of a few months but that is exactly the career path Harry Forrester has chosen.
Just a day after having his contract terminated by Rangers, the Daily Record reports that Forrester has sealed a shock move to the Persian Gulf League outfit Traktor Sazi.
Forrester, who will work under the former Wales and Real Madrid manager John Toshack, has become the first English footballer to move to Iran since 1979.
And it’s fair to say Rangers fans are rather baffled by the move. After all, it is not every day that a player who spent last season on loan in the third tier of English football ends up seizing a lucrative move to the Middle East.
In truth, Forrester struggled during his time at Rangers, failing to recapture the form that made him stand out at Brentford and Doncaster during his debut season in 2016/17. Once Pedro Caixinha replaced Mark Warburton at Ibrox, Forrester was quickly farmed out to Wimbledon and he wasn’t even given he chance to show new manager Steven Gerrard what he can do.
But a shock move to Iran represents a fresh start in a new country – and Forrester has left with the goodwill of some Rangers supporters, if not all.
