West Ham United would love to have the Manchester United forward in their ranks.

If West Ham United are to sign any player from Manchester United this summer, it looks like being 24-year-old goalkeeper Sam Johnstone.
But you cannot blame Hammers fans for being a little more ambitious and encouraging their club to make a move for another out-of-favour United player in Anthony Martial.

The Frenchman has been in Manchester for three years now but time appears to be running out. The former Monaco wonder-kid – who joined for an initial outlay of £36 million in 2015 (the Guardian) – has huge potential and natural ability but seemingly not the trust of Jose Mourinho.
22-year-old Martial started just 18 Premier League games last season and, as a result, has been left out of France’s World Cup squad.
The Mail report that Tottenham Hotspur are keen to take advantage and hold talks with the right-footed left winger but, if West Ham are to prove their ambition after years of false promises, hijacking their bitter rivals’ move for Martial would be quite the statement.

Martial certainly has the potential to be a world-class attacker. But is it even remotely possible that he could be wearing claret and blue next season?
