Two years after Aston Villa let Adama Traore join Championship rivals Middlesbrough, he’s wanted by Premier League giants Chelsea.

Adama Traore certainly had Aston Villa fans on the edge of their seats in his first few games in claret and blue.
In one of his early games in a Villa shirt, Traore produced a mesmerising assist against Sunderland, showcasing the skill, dribbling and incredible pace that once made him a star of the famous Barcelona academy.

But moments like this were few and far between for the jet-heeled Spaniard in the Midlands. So after a frustrating debut season, Villa didn’t wait around to send him to Middlesbrough in exchange for Albert Adomah.
And it’s fair to say there weren’t many Aston Villa fans who expected Traore to be linked with a £30 million move to Premier League giants Chelsea just two years later.

The 22-year-old is finally adding end product to his game, setting up 10 goals this season in the Championship, and second tier defences have had no answer to him since the turn of the year.
Interestingly, Aston Villa will head to Boro for the first leg of the Championship play-off semi-final on Saturday – and Traore will be keen to show just how far he’s come.
