Championship trio Leeds United, Derby County and Middlesbrough are all reportedly interested in Pompey’s League One phenomenon Ronan Curtis.

Ronan Curtis might just turn out to be one of the most impressive pieces of business conducted by any club in the Football League across 2018.
Back in May, Portsmouth paid just £100,000 to sign the young forward from Derry City. But you can guarantee that he’ll cost a lot more next year.
TEAMtalk are claiming that Championship promotion chasers Leeds United, Aston Villa and Middesbrough are all keen to sign Curtis on the back of six goals and seven assists in his first few months as a Pompey player.
But surely Aston Villa should be looking to take full advantage of their contacts at Fratton Park. Villa loaned talented winger Andre Green out to the League One leaders in the summer – and the Midland giants should now look to see if Portsmouth are willing to return the favour.

The 22-year-old after all, is exactly the kind of player who should thrive under Dean Smith, a manager who pushed the likes of Ollie Watkins, Neal Maupay, Romain Sawyers on leaps and bounds during his time at Brentford.
So Aston Villa is perhaps the best possible destination for the newly capped Ireland international Curtis, even if he would perhaps have to wait to force himself into the first-team plans.
