Callum Robinson will face off against former club Aston Villa for Championship strugglers Preston North End.

It has been an awful start to the Championship season for Preston North End, but at least Alex Neil can call on the in-form Callum Robinson.
The 23-year-old attacker has arguably been the Lilywhites’ brightest spark so far in 2018/19, scoring three goals in ten starts to earn himself a first ever call-up for the Republic of Ireland.
And Robinson will now be hoping to prove a point to the team that he walked out on.
Preston welcome Aston Villa to Deepdale and Steve Bruce will come up against the player who spent 13 years at Bodymoor Heath before rejecting a contract and leaving for Lancashire in 2016, as reported by the BBC.
But perhaps Villa should use this opportunity to see how far Robinson has come since bidding farewell two years ago.

Bruce’s struggling side have won just one of their last nine games and are suffering from a severe lack of spark and creativity going forward as things stand.
Robinson, however, is exactly the kind of direct and versatile talent who could make a difference in Villa’s attack, particularly if he could form an understanding with the likes of Yannick Bolasie, Anwar El-Ghazi and Jonathan Kodjia.
