Championship outfit Swansea City need a new manager after Graham Potter left to take charge of Premier League club Brighton and Hove Albion.

Former Swansea City striker Shefki Kuqi has put himself forward as a left-field option to replace Graham Potter at the Liberty Stadium, while speaking to Wales Online.
Swansea were forced to bid farewell to the highly-rated Potter this week when the former Ostersunds boss walked out of the Liberty Stadium after just a single season, taking charge of Premier League outfit Brighton and Hove Albion.
The South Wales outfit are expected to hand the reigns to U23 coach Cameron Toshack. But it remains to be seen whether they will give consideration to Kuqi, who was also keen to take over before Potter got the job in 2018.
The 42-year-old Finn had a spell at Swansea between 2010 and 2011, scoring seven goals in 22 games. And he would jump at the chance to return in a managerial capacity.
“It’s a club I know very well and I know the style of football they play and how they play it. I think this time around it would be a good opportunity,” Kuqi said.

“Of course, Potter did a great job last season and it would be a great opportunity to build on that and go to try and attack the top six. If the opportunity comes up this summer, I’d love to.
“I’m in for the job like anybody else.”
Kuqi has managed three clubs so far, all of them in his Finnish homeland, but he claims he has been in touch with Roy Hodgson, Gary Monk and Dean Smith in order to prepare himself for a return to British shores.
He would be a risk, but you could have said the same about Potter when he arrived at Swansea from Scandinavia.
