Lee Evans only joined Sheffield United from Championship rivals Wolves in January but is already a fan favourite at Bramall Lane.

John Lundstrom stole the headlines, and the Man of the Match award, as his well-taken winner inspired Sheffield United to a 2-1 win against QPR which keeps their play-off hopes alive.
But, in the eyes of many United supporters, Lee Evans was the real star of the show at Bramall Lane on Tuesday night.
The midfielder did not make the grade at Wolverhampton Wanderers and slipped out of the first-team picture following the arrivals of Ruben Neves, Alfred N’Diaye and co but he has wasted no time in displaying his talents in the Steel City.

The 23-year-old has been quietly impressive in his five Championship starts for Chris Wilder’s side and looks a real snip at just £750,000.
But Evans, who spent the first half of the season on loan at League One favourites Wigan Athletic, saved his best display in a United shirt for Queens Park Rangers.

Alongside Mark Duffy and Lundstram in the centre of the park, Evans was excellent on the ball and did a decent job off it, too. His six tackles were the most of any United player against Ian Holloway’s side.
He also boasted the home side’s best pass completion ratio and, in truth, was probably the stand out player as he once again went about his business in a composed and tidy manner.
