Mason Mount has scored three Championship goals for Derby County since arriving from Chelsea on loan.

Mason Mount arrived at Derby County amid high expectations this summer. And, after just 11 games for the East Midland club, Rams fans are starting to find out why Chelsea have such big hopes for the talented midfielder.
Mount has been a revelation since arriving at Pride Park on a season-long loan. He is pillar of confidence and creativity in midfield and scored his fifth Derby goal already with a picture perfect free-kick in the 3-1 weekend win against Brentford.
Shay Given, who was appointed Derby’s goalkeeping coach in June, has been very impressed by the way the England U21 international has settled in the Championship.
“Frank Lampard and (former Chelsea coach) Jody Morris know him extremely well from Chelsea,” Given told the Alan Brazil Sport’s Breakfast on talkSPORT (25 September, 9:00am).

“He is just phenomenal, people were saying ‘oh my goodness who is this guy?’. He’s got fantastic qualities on the ball and his work rate off the ball is phenomenal as well.
“It’s an example for everyone.”
Mount scored 14 goals on loan at Vitesse Arnhem last season, winning the Eredivisie side’s Player of the Year award and deservedly so.
There is a real feeling at Stamford Bridge that he could be the first academy graduate to become a first-team regular at Chelsea since a certain John Terry.
