Pawel Cibicki is expected to bid farewell to Elland Road after just one season in the Championship with Leeds United.

You can hardly blame Pawel Cibicki if he is angling for a move away from Leeds United this summer.
For as long as Paul Heckingbottom stays on as manager, it seems unlikely that the 24-year-old striker will ever get a chance to prove himself in England.
Since Heckingbottom replaced Thomas Christiansen at the helm in February, Cibicki did not play a single minute of football.

It seems there was a reason why he was spotted attending Legia Warsaw’s clash with Wisla Plock on Wednesday night, because Legia Net is reporting that Legia, the reigning Ekstraklasa champions, are keen on offering Cibicki an escape route this summer.
Now, there are a number of Victor Orta’s signings that Leeds fans would happily drive out of Elland Road this summer: Felix Wiedwald, Jay-Roy Grot, Matthew Pennington to name just three. But is Cibicki, perhaps along with the influential yet temperamental Samu Saiz, one of the few that should be retained?
In truth, Cibicki did produce a number of lively performances on the very rare occasions he was given a chance to show they Leeds invested £1.5 million in him last August.

The former Malmo frontman did not score in his seven Championship appearances but did set up goals in wins against QPR and Norwich City, showing work-rate, creativity and versatility across the frontline.
And, when he was omitted from Leeds’ squad for the post-season trip to Myanmar, there was no shortage of supporters wondering why this promising young talent was not given more of an opportunity.
Many of Orta’s additions look like lost causes already, but the same cannot be said for Cibicki, so perhaps Leeds should have second thoughts about letting him go.
