Connor Ogilvie may be a long way from Tottenham Hotspur’s plans but he shone as League One Gillingham stunned Cardiff City on Saturday.

It was a fine FA Cup third round for Tottenham Hotspur players.
Mauricio Pochettino’s Spurs blew League Two Tranmere Rovers away on Friday, winning 7-0 on Merseyside thanks to a Fernando Llorente hat-trick and an inspired performance from the unstoppable Heung Min-Son.
And, while Connor Ogilvie was not wearing Tottenham colours over the weekend, he still did the North London club proud with a fine individual performance.
The 22-year-old is on loan at Gillingham and stood out as the third tier outfit stunned Premier League Cardiff City at Priestfield on Saturday.

Elliot List was the hero, slamming home a winner with ten minutes to go, but Ogilvie produced an outstanding defensive display at the other end as the Gills put their bodies on the line to leave Neil Warnock and co red-faced.
And Gillingham fans have taken to Twitter to pay tribute to Ogilvie’s performance.
It remains to be seen whether the Essex-born defender, a left-back who is also comfortable in the centre, is capable of stepping up into Tottenham’s first-team plans.
At 22, he would be something of a late bloomer, but his performance against Cardiff will not have done his chances any harm at all.
