Celtic are set to let Moussa Dembele leave Parkhead this summer to keep Kieran Tierney out of the clutches of Manchester United.

Celtic are seemingly ready to let one of their much-coveted young talents leave Parkhead this summer…in an attempt to keep the other.
According to the Daily Record, the Hoops will put the in-demand Moussa Dembele on the market this summer in an attempt to sell the 21-year-old to the highest bidder. Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers always predicted that the France U21 star would be on his way in the summer of 2018 and he is likely to be spot on.

The report adds that selling Dembele, and making big money for a player who is rumoured to be valued somewhere between £20 million and £30 million, will allow Celtic to resist any huge offers for their home-grown fan favourite Kieran Tierney.
The Daily Record claims that Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho wants to step up his pursuit of the 20-year-old left-back as he looks to finally solve the club’s problem position.
Tierney, who has captained Celtic and Scotland this season, has been scouted relentlessly by United despite only recently signing a new six-year contract, and it is understood that he would cost at least £20 million.

Celtic will know, however, that they stand a far better chance of keeping hold of a boyhood Hoops fan with a new contract under his belt than a French striker who was always likely to use the club as a stepping stone to earn a bigger move elsewhere.
Losing Dembele this summer would not raise many eyebrows, and the fans appear more than happy to cash in.
Tierney, however, is all but irreplaceable so keeping him and selling Dembele is something of a no-brainer for Celtic.
