Reports are claiming that Premier League side West Ham United have offered Serie A giants Roma the chance to sign Marko Arnautovic.

As a number of West Ham United fans have pointed out, selling Marko Arnautovic now would undo so much of the good work the club has done this summer.

After two years of dreadful recruitment, comprising of overpriced flops and underwhelming freebies, West Ham have really made a statement in the last few weeks.

The Hammers have broken their transfer record twice for Issa Diop and Felipe Anderson after increasing numbers of supporters started to accuse owners David Gold and David Sullivan of a lack an ambition.

This is without mentioning the astute additions of Lukas Fabianski, Andriy Yarmolenko, Ryan Fredericks and Paraguayan international Fabian Balbuena.

But reports coming out of Italy have cast a major cloud over all the optimism. Leggo is claiming that West Ham have decided to cash in on last summer’s £25 million addition Arnautovic and have even offered him to Serie A side Roma.

It is understood that Arnautovic could be sold for less than £20 million – despite the fact that he was by far and away their most impressive performer last season, not to mention the club’s highest goalscorer.

Needless to say, West Ham fans aren’t too pleased about the prospect of bidding farewell to Arnie.
