Kyle Lafferty has moved to Norway with the Eliteserien strugglers after failing to fire in his second spell at Scottish Premiership giants Rangers.

Kyle Lafferty has headed north for the latest leg of his globetrotting career.
After being released by Rangers in July following an underwhelming season back at Ibrox, a player who has scored goals in Switzerland, Italy, Turkey and, erm, Norwich has joined Norwegian outfit Sarpsborg 08.
And it’s fair to say Lafferty hasn’t taken the easy option.
After 19 games, Sarpsborg are bottom of the Eliteserien table – though sporting director Thomas Berntsen is confident that he has signed a player capable of turning their season around and winning games by himself.
“We hope and believe (Lafferty) will help to tilt the matches in our favour. There will be some yellow cards, but also many goals,” Berntsen told the club’s official website.

“In Kyle Lafferty we get a player with close to 500 games at a good level. He has played 70 matches and scored 20 goals for Northern Ireland. Lafferty is a tough guy who sacrifices his head in both boxes. A real warrior.”
If Lafferty wants to rescue Sarpsborg’s season, he will be hoping to find goals easier in Norway than he did in Scotland over the last 12 months.
The former Hearts talisman scored just seven times after making a dream return to Rangers last summer and, with Jermain Defoe and Greg Stewart arriving to join Alfredo Morelos in Steven Gerrard’s squad, Lafferty quickly slipped down the pecking order.
