Nottingham Forest could reportedly loan out midfielder Ryan Yates to Championship rivals Hull City with chances hard to come by at the City Ground.

Ryan Yates would have been hoping for a role in Nottingham Forest’s first-team plans this season after starring on loan at Scunthorpe United and impressing Aitor Karanka in pre-season.
But the 20-year-old’s campaign has hardly gone to plan. Yates has not been included in a single matchday squad for Forest across the entirety of 2018/19 with the September arrivals of free-agents Pana Tachtsidis and Claudio Yacob forcing him further down the pecking order.
So yet another loan move away from the City Ground looks like the best option available right now to the tireless young midfielder.
But a spell at Hull City could be perfect for all parties involved. The Mirror (15 November, page 66) reports that The Tigers are keen to give Yates a chance to prove himself in the Championship for the first time in his short career.

Should Yates make the move to Humberside, he would certainly benefit from being handed an opportunity at Championship level. If he impresses in Hull colours, his chances of a future role in Forest’s first-team will only be enhanced.
And Forest themselves could see Yates return to the City Ground in the summer of 2019 a much more rounded and mature player ready to complete for a place in Karanka’s starting XI.
