Rotherham United were indebted to two Ryan Manning penalties as they beat Graham Potter’s Swansea City in Saturday’s Championship clash.

Swansea were leading away at The Millers as Oli McBurnie casually converted a Daniel James cross but two second half spot-kicks, converted into the same top corner by Ryan Manning, turned the game on its head and earned Rotherham a massive win.
And, speaking to EFL on Quest (3 November, 9pm), Millers boss Paul Warne admits he was very relieved to get the three points – and has paid tribute to a Swansea side failed to force their way back into play-off contention in Yorkshire.
“That’s probably the best away side we’ve had here. We couldn’t lay a glove on them in all fairness they were better than us all over the pitch,” Warne said.
“We had to change our system and, if I’m honest, I was happy to get to half time just one goal down.”
Swansea have enjoyed a mixed start to life under former Ostersunds manager Potter. They are ninth in the Championship right now and, although just three points adrift of the top six, a tally of just 18 goals in 16 games means the South Wales side are facing a very obvious problem.
Swansea were excellent at times in the opening 45 minutes away at Rotherham but, for all the quality in possession, they must start turning chances into goals if they are to emerge as genuine promotion contenders.
