Australian World Cup wonder-kid Daniel Arzani is reportedly set to move to Scottish Premiership champions Celtic from Manchester City.
For the second year in a row, Celtic have edged past Norwegian outfit Rosenborg in the Champions League qualifiers. Fortunately, Brendan Rodgers’ men did the hard work in the first-leg at Celtic Park, because the return game on Wednesday night was a nervy affair.
Thanks in part to the excellence of Craig Gordon, Celtic survived a poor first-half display in Scandinavia and the game finished goalless, meaning Brendan Rodgers’ side progressed on the back of their 3-1 win in Scotland a week earlier.
But while Celtic’s defence, and particularly the young Jack Hendry, looked very suspect, the Hoops did not create a great deal at the other end either. The Hoops managed just five attempts overall to Rosenborg’s ten and hit the target only once over a drab 90 minutes.
So this sort of performance shows why Daniel Arzani will be an excellent addition to Brendan Rodgers’ squad.
According to the Daily Record, the 19-year-old Australian winger is set to move to Parkhead on a two-year loan once he completes his move to Manchester City from Melbourne City.

The youngest player at this summer’s World Cup, Arzani would give Celtic a much needed impact sub off the bench and the ability to add pace into a Hoops attack that once again looked a little one-dimensional in Norway.
