League One Sunderland are keen to keep Paddy McNair but Wolverhampton Wanderers reportedly want to bring him to the Premier League.

Fulham’s teen sensation Ryan Sessegnon might have dominated the Championship’s end of season awards but, for many fans, critics and neutrals, no one came close to Ruben Neves in 2017/18.
Wolves’ £15.8 million record signing showed everyone why he was the most expensive player in the history of England’s second tier; not to mention why he had captained Porto in the Champions League and represented Portugal at international level.
Neves was simply on another level. He was the star of the show as Wolves swept all before them en route to the Championship title, dominating games with his remarkable passing range and firing home six long-range stunners along the way.

Imagine the surprise, then, when rock-bottom, relegated Sunderland turned up to the Stadium of Light on the final day of the season and won 3-0. For once, Neves was bested, by none other than Paddy McNair.
The former Manchester United youngster was in sensational form in the Black Country, capping a Man of the Match performance with a fourth goal in five games to inspire Sunderland to arguably the most shocking result in the 2017/18 season.
McNair is perhaps the only player to have gone head-to-head with Neves last season and come out on top.
