Premier League duo Wolverhampton Wanderers and Spurs have both been linked with Colombia and River Plate star Juan Quintero.

Juan Quintero will forever be a legend in the eyes of River Plate fans for his outstanding individual performance in the Copa Libertadores final against arch rivals Boca Juniors.
But has the Colombian international played his last game for the Argentine giants? According to Marca, Quintero has his heart set on a return to Europe in 2019 with his spell at River ending in the most dramatic fashion possible.
The report adds that the talented playmaker is on loan from FC Porto and River have the option to sign him permanently before the end of December for just shy of £3 million. But should a huge bid from elsewhere come their way, don’t bet against the newly crowned Champions of South America cashing in.
And it remains to be seen whether a move to the Premier League is on the cards.

The Mirror reported in July that both Wolverhampton Wanderers and Tottenham Hotspur were eyeing Quintero on the back of his virtuoso performances for Jose Pekerman’s Colombia in the 2018 World Cup.
And the 25-year-old’s sparkling performances at River means he shouldn’t be short of suitors again heading into the January transfer window. The Mirror added that River would put a £20 million release clause in Quintero’s contract should they sign him permanently; relative pocket change for Wolves and Tottenham.
