Premier League outfit Wolverhampton Wanderers and Championship chasers Leeds United are reportedly keen on Kasimpasa striker Diagne.
Mbaye Diagne has surely just added fuel to the fire with his future up in the air heading into the January transfer window.
The Senegal striker has been in superb form for Turkish Super Lig outfit Kasimpasa this season, scoring 16 goals in just 14 games. And, according to ESPN, Wolverhampton Wanderers have held talks with Diagne about a potential move to the Premier League.
Back in September, Turkish Football claimed that Leeds United have continued to send scouts to watch the one-time Juventus youngster in recent months, having expressed an interest over the summer.
And, speaking to Sporx, Diagne has now indicated that he would indeed be keen on a move to England in a potential boost for both Wolves and Leeds.
“It’s too early to talk about (a transfer),” Diagne said. “(But) I want to play in a great team and fight. I would like to play in England.”
With Leeds manager Marcelo Bielsa indicating that changes will be minimal at Elland Road in January, as reported by the Yorkshire Evening Post, Wolves could be the likelier destination for Diagne given that Nuno Espirit Santo is crying out for some competition for Raul Jimenez.
Sporx have previously claimed that Diagne will cost £9 million, a drop in the ocean for Wolves’ billionaire owners.
