Premier League duo West Ham United and Wolverhampton Wanderers have been linked with the dazzling Benfica midfielder Joao Felix.

Joao Felix is a special talent. And, according to his agent in quotes reported by Record, the 19-year-old Benfica midfielder is a future candidate to win the Ballon d’Or.
Felix has made his breakthrough at the Estadio Da Luz in the last few months, establishing himself as a first-team regular while scoring nine goals in all competitions – the most recent coming in Sunday’s remarkable 10-0 thrashing of Nacional in the Primeira Liga.
As a result, the teenager has been linked with some of Europe’s biggest clubs and a number of Premier League teams despite the £105 million release clause in his contract.
AS report that West Ham made an enquiry to find out how much Benfica were demanding earlier in February while the Mirror claims that Wolverhampton Wanderers are leading the chase.
And, if either West Ham or Wolves get their man, they could be signing a player with the potential to be the world’s best – at least according to Felix’s representative.

“Joao Felix is one of the best talents to have emerged from the 1999 generation and has everything needed to become the most expensive transfer in Portuguese football and even a candidate for the Ballon d’Or,” Pedro Cordeiro said.
Felix has even been compared to Cristiano Ronaldo, albeit more because of his nationality than his playing style, and appears to have the world at his feet.
Calciomercato have claimed that Benfica may be willing to listen to offers of around £35 million which would not be out of Wolves or West Ham’s reach.
