Olivier Giroud has started just six Premier League games for Chelsea this season with West Ham United reportedly keen to sign him.

Just 12 months after Olivier Giroud joined Chelsea from Arsenal for £18 million, according to The Telegraph, the experienced striker could be on his way out of Stamford Bridge already.
Giroud has only started six of 22 Premier League games this season with Maurizio Sarri recently preferring to deploy Eden Hazard in a false nine role instead.
And, with his contract expiring at the end of the season, the French World Cup winner is facing an uncertain future with The Mail reporting on Tuesday that West Ham United would be interested in offering him a fresh start down the road at the London Stadium.
So Manuel Pellegrini and co should be taking note of a rather explosive interview that Giroud has given to ESPN before Chelsea’s trip to former club Arsenal on Saturday evening.
“It’s not me who decides the team, making the starting XI, but obviously every single player wants to play every single game,” Giroud said.

“As a competitor obviously I can’t be happy to stay on the bench, but I keep that frustration with me and try to transform it to positive energy to work hard in training.”
West Ham have been linked with a number of strikers in recent weeks with Marko Arnuatovic and Javier Hernandez both tipped to leave this month and Giroud would tick a lot of boxes.
The former Montpellier man is a proven Premier League striker after all, scoring 77 goals in England’s top flight during his time at Chelsea and Arsenal.
