Premier League duo Newcastle United and West Ham reportedly want Ryan Manning but he struggled as Queens Park Rangers lost to Brentford.

This was always going to happen eventually.
Ryan Manning has been nothing short of a revelation since being transformed from a tenacious central midfielder into a barnstorming left-back by Queens Park Rangers boss Mark Warburton.
In fact, the Irishman has been so impressive that he has apparently caught the eye of West Ham United, as reported by London News Online, while Newcastle are planning a £3 million January move (Northern Echo).
But up against a swashbuckling Brentford side who are at their barnstorming best when flying down the flanks, Manning’s lack of defensive nous and experience was always likely to be exploited.

And with QPR suffering arguably their most damaging result of the season, a 3-1 home loss to their London neighbours, perhaps Warburton should have been a little more pragmatic and handed the more defensively minded Lee Wallace his first start of the season instead.
For all of Manning’s qualities, and he has plenty, blocking crosses and tracking forward runners is not exactly his forte and Brentford made him pay, particularly when Bryan Mbeumo was left in acres of space to pick out Ollie Watkins for the Bees first-half opener.
QPR fans were understandably critical – though the blame has to be aimed at Warburton rather than a youngster who had done a fine job out of position until Monday night.
