Luka Jovic scored two more Bundesliga goals for Eintracht Frankfurt on Wednesday – no wonder Spurs reportedly want him in the Premier League.

Luka Jovic just gets better and better.
The Serbian forward showed glimpses of quality during a promising debut season at Eintracht Frankfurt in 2017/18 but few expected him to explode as he has done in recent months.
The 20-year-old has been an absolute revelation in Adi Hutter’s free-flowing side and hit the headlines when he fired home five clinical finishes in a 7-1 thrashing of Fortuna Dusseldorf in October.
Jovic might not have scored quite so many in a single game since but his form in front of goal remains more than admirable. The Benfica-owned youngster netted a brace in the 2-2 draw with Mainz on Wednesday, taking his tally to 17 in 24 appearances in all competitions.
And they were the sort of goals a seasoned poacher would be proud of. The first was a simple tap-in which owed more to his electric movement than anything else and the second a superb glancing header into the bottom corner – showcasing an aerial presence that hasn’t really been noticed until now.

In short, Jovic looks the real deal. So if Tottenham have any chance to sign him in the January transfer window, surely Daniel Levy should be willing to back Mauricio Pochettino to the hilt.
Calciomercato reported Spurs’ interest in August and this is not the first time they have been linked. Back in 2015, The Mail claimed that the North London giants were watching a then-17-year-old Jovic for Red Star Belgrade.
And it seems fitting to end on this; Jovic has scored four more goals than Harry Kane this season from the same number of games.
