Tottenham Hotspur reportedly scouted Queens Park Rangers’ Ebere Eze on Wednesday.

It was only a matter of time before clubs in the Premier League started to have a look at Ebere Eze.
The 20-year-old Queens Park Rangers attacker is emerging as one of the most exciting young talents in the Championship, and he enhanced his reputation with a goal-scoring display in the 2-0 midweek win over a Millwall side who let him go in 2016.
According to the Standard, Tottenham Hotspur are among a number of top flight clubs who sent scouts to watch the Greenwich-born Eze at Loftus Road on Wednesday.
Andy Bircham, QPR’s former assistant coach, believes Eze could go all the way to the top, and has compared the youngster to Manchester City’s Raheem Sterling.
“He goes past players easier than Raheem Sterling did. Sterling would beat players with pace or do a trick or a chop – it’s all dynamic movements, but Ebere Eze just glides past players,” Bircham, who watched Sterling rise through the ranks before he moved to Liverpool at the age of 15, told Sky Sports.

Eze certainly seized his chance to shine in front of Tottenham’s scouts on Wednesday. He was the best player on the pitch against Millwall, starring in the number ten position and scoring the second goal with a well-taken volley.
“In terms of his natural ability, he’s up there with one of the best I’ve seen,” Bircham, who left QPR in June, adds.
“He’s exciting when he gets the ball. As he’s both footed, he can go both ways past people. He gets you off your seat. If he keeps getting the ball in dangerous areas, something will happen.”
It remains to be seen how long QPR will be able to hang onto Eze, although he did sign a new three-year deal in April.
