Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal are reportedly competing to lure Rennes wonder-kid Camavinga to the Premier League.

If anyone was wondering whether Eduardo Camavinga’s staggeringly mature performance against Paris Saint Germain was just a one-off, Rennes’ 16-year-old wonder-kid proved emphatically in the last four weeks that he is here to stay.
According to the Mail, Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal have both expressed an interest in signing the most talked-about teenager in French football with Mauricio Pochettino’s side seeing a bid fail before the transfer window slammed shut in August (L’Equipe).
A midfielder who was less than two years old when Arsenal lifted their most recent Premier League title had started to establish himself in Rennes’ first-team in the final few weeks of last season but it was that dazzling display against the Ligue 1 champions which catapulted him into the limelight.
Camavinga was the best player on the pitch as Julian Stephan’s side stunned PSG at Roazhon Park, completing 97 per cent of his passes and setting up the winner with a sublime cross. Just a reminder, he is 16 years old – four years younger than Kylian Mbappe.

And that masterful performance was obviously fresh in the memory when voting opened for the Ligue 1 Player of the Month award with the Angola-born maestro becoming the first Rennes player since Ousmane Dembele to win the quadweekly gong.
Whatever happened to him?
