Gary Medel is still reportedly a target for West Ham United and the Chilean international is allegedly desperate to leave Besiktas.

Reports linking West Ham United with a move for Gary Medel are not going away.
Takvim reported in February that the Hammers are keen to sign the Chilean international from Besiktas in the summer transfer window, having seen a £6.5 million bid rejected in January (Miliyet).
An experienced and combative midfielder who can also play in defence, compatriot Manuel Pellegrini knows him well and he would offer some much needed cover in the centre of the park.
Takvim claimed that Medel is desperate to return to the Premier League, having spent the 2013/14 season at Cardiff City, and was ‘disgusted’ that Besiktas refused to let him talk to West Ham.

It seems he could be available for a cut price fee in the summer, when he will have just 12 months left on his contract with the Istanbul giants. Calciomercato believe that Medel might be available for just £3.8 million, a fee that appears to make him something of a low-risk signing.
West Ham will face competition from Lazio, however, with the Rome-based outfit keen to bring the former Inter Milan enforcer back to Italy.
