Championship promotion hopefuls Nottingham Forest are reportedly hoping to sign the seldom-seen Scottish Premiership star Lewis Morgan.

According to the Scottish Sun, Nottingham Forest are keen on signing Lewis Morgan – and not for the first time.
The 22-year-old winger is expected to leave Celtic on loan this month having failed to start a single Scottish Premiership appearance this season. And The Sun believes that Forest are rivalling the likes of Hull City and Aberdeen to snap him up.
Now, Forest fans might remember Morgan from the autumn of 2017. According to The Sun (15 October, page 61), the former European champions were keen to sign the then-St Mirren star last January and were willing to offer £500,000.
But once Celtic got involved, Morgan’s heart was set on a return to the club he represented at youth level.
“By the time (former Forest manager Mark Warburton) was sacked I had already informed Forest this was where I wanted to come,” Morgan told the Express 12 months ago.
“As soon as I knew Celtic were interested that was game over.”

With Morgan’s dream return to Celtic falling flat, however, it remains to be seen how he feels about signing for Nottingham Forest this time around.
Should he move to the City Ground, he will be hoping to find game-time easier to come by. And Morgan should be intrigued by the prospect of working under the legendary Celtic manager Martin O’Neill, a coach who has often got the best out of old-school wingers such as James McClean, Alan Thompson and Ashley Young.
