Exeter City’s League Two winger Randell Williams is being linked with Championship quartet Nottingham Forest, Queens Park Rangers, Cardiff and Huddersfield.

In the words of Exeter City manager Matt Taylor, Randell Williams still has a lot to learn.
At the age of 22, the Grecians winger is rapidly emerging as one of the Football League’s breakthrough stars after a superb start to the League Two season.
And, according to TEAMtalk, Nottingham Forest, Queens Park Rangers, Cardiff City and Huddersfield Town are all queuing up to sign the most exciting Exeter player since a certain Ollie Watkins exploded onto the scene at St James’ Park.
With just three goals and five assists to his name since the start of 2018/19, however, Williams is far from the finished article just yet.
And, after an ineffective performance, the former Watford, Tottenham and Crystal Palace youngster was hauled off after just 54 minutes during Saturday’s 1-1 draw against Newport County. Taylor, clearly, was far from impressed with his contribution.
“Randell has to learn as well. He has to learn to affect the game in different ways than just in attacking play,” Taylor told Devon Live.

With four Championship clubs expressing an interest, it seems only a matter of time before Williams follows in Watkins’ footsteps.
But the Brentford talisman was already a prolific goalscorer when his time at Exeter came to an end, winning the EFL Young Player of the Year award in 2017 when he was just 21 – a year younger than Williams.
Forest, Cardiff, QPR or Huddersfield would be getting a raw talent with a lot of rough edges.
