Benfica are desperate to earn top dollar for Joao Felix, with the dazzling youngster linked with Premier League duo Liverpool and Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Benfica are trying to raise Joao Felix’s release clause after the coveted youngster produced another sparkling performance in the Classico win at Porto over the weekend, as reported by AS.
At the age of 19, Felix is emerging as perhaps the biggest talent in Portuguese football since Cristiano Ronaldo – all braces and blonde tips – emerged at Sporting Lisbon in the early 2000s.
He scored his 11th goal in all competitions on Sunday when he netted the opener in a 2-1 win at Benfica’s bitter rivals Porto; a result that saw Bruno Lage’s side leapfrog the reigning Champions into first place.
The Mirror has claimed that Liverpool are interested in luring Felix to Anfield at the end of his breakthrough season in Iberia while Wolverhampton Wanderers are also in the race.
Wolves’ connections with super agent Jorge Mendes means they must be seen as serious contenders for the teenager’s signature.

But, in the face of rising interest, Benfica are doing everything they can to increase Felix’s price-tag.
AS adds that the Eagles are planning to increase his £105 million release clause amid fears that Juventus were ready to trigger it in the summer. Record, meanwhile, believes that his new clause could stand at a minimum of £130 million.
Even in today’s market, that is a staggering fee for a player who has less than a season of first-team football under his belt.
