AEK Athens striker Ezequiel Ponce could reportedly reunite with his former Lille manager Marcelo Bielsa at Championship leaders Leeds United

Ezequiel Ponce made his name at the Estadio Marcelo Bielsa, the famous old home of Argentine outfit Newels Old Boys.
And in one of the most intriguing transfer rumours of the year so far, it has been claimed that Ponce could link up with the man who will forever be a legend at the club where his career began.
According to ClubCall, Leeds United scouted AEK Athens at the weekend with Ponce understood to be the reason for their trip to Greece. And that has sparked speculation that Bielsa could look to sign the 21-year-old centre-forward for the second time, having brought him to France during his ill-fated spell at Lille in 2017.
Ponce has scored five goals in eight league games for the reigning Greek champions – but what can Leeds fans expect from a player whose short career has been inextricably linked with the legendary Bielsa?
Well, the fact that he is nicknamed ‘The Tank’ says a lot about his style.

Standing at 5ft 11ins, Ponce is not the tallest of strikers but he is a hugely powerful striker who uses his hefty frame to bully opposition defenders and power through brick walls in search of a goal.
Ponce, should he move to Elland Road, could offer something completely different from the quick feet and speed of Kemar Roofe and the velvet touch of Patrick Bamford.
