Huddersfield Town’s Mathias Jorgensen and Copenhagen’s Peter Ankersen could reportedly be reunited at Scottish Premiership champions Celtic.

Mathias ‘Zanka’ Jorgensen and Peter Ankersen know each other very well.
The Danish defenders spent two seasons together at FC Copenhagen and helped forge a formidable defensive partnership which inspired the capital club to a pair of Superligaen titles in 2016 and 2017.
Two years ago, Jorgensen and Ankersen starred as Copenhagen cruised to a domestic crown, conceding just 10 goals in 30 league games. The season before, the capital club finished nine points clear of Sonderjyske in top spot.
So if Celtic sign both Jorgensen and Ankersen this summer, the centre-half and the right-back would surely relish the chance to work together again in the famous green and white shirt.
According to the Daily Record, the Scottish Premiership giants are keen to sign the giant Jorgensen from Huddersfield Town after they were relegated from the Premier League.
Full-back Ankersen is also on their radar with Celtic eyeing the £1.5 million-rated defender as a replacement for the recently released Mikael Lustig.

Ankersen would hardly break the bank and Celtic should have little trouble affording Jorgensen, too, given that he looks likely to force his way out of the John Smith’s Stadium before the summer is out.
If both players arrive, Celtic will have two proven, experienced defenders who know how to get the best out of each other.
