Ligue 1 youngster Romain Perraud has been linked with Scottish Premiership champions Celtic as a potential replacement for Kieran Tierney.

Celtic linked left-back Romain Perraud has admitted that he plans to leave Nice this summer in search of a new challenge, as reported by L’Equipe.
With doubts swirling about the future of Kieran Tierney, the Scottish Premiership champions appear to be scouring the market for a potential replacement and Perraud is one of those who has emerged on their radar.
La Depeche claimed on Wednesday that the 21-year-old could be on his way to Celtic to link up with Christopher Jullien, the giant Toulouse defender who is also set to sign for the Glasgow giants after making his name in France.
This is despite The Mail claiming just 24 hours earlier that Perraud’s wage demands had priced Celtic out.
And after returning to Nice from a loan spell at Paris FC in Ligue 2, Perraud has made it clear that his future lies away from the French Riviera.

“Because of a painful history, I had really hammered home my wish to leave,” Perraud said.
“I have nothing against the current leaders but Nice missed the boat with me. I want a new challenge.”
L’Equipe adds that Celtic have seen two proposals turned down so far for a left-back who scored an impressive five goals for Paris FC last season.
But, with Tierney’s future becoming increasingly uncertain, don’t expect Celtic to back away from Perraud just yet. Attack-minded, technically gifted and blessed with plenty of potential, he could be a ready-made replacement. If one is needed, that is.
