Scottish Premiership champions Celtic have missed out on Amir Rrahmani to Serie A but at least Christopher Jullien is close.

One of Celtic’s reported defensive targets will not be wearing green and white anytime soon.
Instead, Amir Rrahmani will be playing in the top tier of Italian football, pulling on the yellow and blue colours of Hellas Verona.
An experienced centre-back with 24 caps for the Kosovan national team, LDH claimed earlier in June that Celtic were hoping to lure Rrahmani to Glasgow as a replacement for either Dedryck Boyata or former loanee Filip Benkovic.
But the former Dinamo Zagreb enforcer will instead be playing his football in Serie A during the 2019/20 campaign.
As reported by Gianluca di Marzio, Rrahmani has completed a move to newly promoted Hellas Verona with the pictures confirming it. To make matters worse for Celtic, he has moved for a bargain £1.8 million.
The Scottish Premiership champions can certainly console themselves with the news that Christopher Jullien’s arrival seems like just a matter of time.

Neil Lennon confirmed on to Sky on Wednesday that a deal for the giant Toulouse defender is underway though the former France youth star will cost far more than Rrahmani. L’Equipe claims that Jullien will set Celtic back around £7 million.
So, with cheaper and more affordable targets heading elsewhere, the pressure will be on Jullien to show why he is worth such a fee.
