Championship giants Aston Villa and Derby County reportedly want Ethan Ampadu on loan from Premier League giants Chelsea in January.

Ethan Ampadu has struggled badly for game time at Chelsea this season so the last thing he needed was to score an own goal in his second appearance of the campaign.
Unfortunately, the 18-year-old marked a rare outing against Hungarian outfit Vidi in the Europa League on Thursday night by diverting a dangerous set-piece past Willy Caballero and into his own goal. Though it is a testament to Ampadu’s quality and temperament that he quickly put this error behind him and went about his business in typically assured fashion thereafter.
The Wales international, who has become a regular starter under Ryan Giggs since September, looked confident and composed throughout Chelsea’s 2-2 draw and has once again earned plenty of praise from the fans, who seriously believe he could be the first academy graduate since John Terry to nail down a first-team berth at Stamford Bridge.

If any supporters from Aston Villa and Derby County were watching, they will know exactly what to expect from the former Exeter City wonderkid.
According to the Birmingham Mail, Aston Villa and Derby are both hoping to sign Ampadu on loan in January with Terry and Frank Lampard going head-to-head to get a favour off their former club next month.
And while Ampadu is capable of the odd mistake, he is just 18 after all. The Championship giants would be signing a player with real potential and personality.
