Championship duo Leeds United and Norwich City are reportedly planning to sign VFL Wolfsburg’s Bundesliga star Elvis Rexhbecaj.

There will be a question on the lips of all Leeds United and Norwich City fans on Thursday morning; just who on earth is Elvis Rexhbecaj?
According to Bild, the Championship rivals are going head-to-head to sign the 21-year-old Wolfsburg midfielder in the summer transfer window, and they are even willing to spend £7 million to bring him to West Yorkshire or Norfolk.
£7 million is quite the fee for Leeds and Norwich, who do not often spend big in the transfer market. But there is a good reason why they are prepared to dig deep in order to sign one of the Bundesliga’s most promising young enforcers.
“He is an incredibly powerful, aggressive and strong player. It is quite completely set up and can play several positions,” former Wolfsburg coach Martin Schmidt told SportsWorld after handing Rexhbecaj his senior debut.

The Kosovan is certainly versatile. He can play anywhere across the midfield, flitting between attacking and defensive roles with ease, and can also fill in at left-back when required.
Given that Leeds have struggled with injuries at left-back all season, Rexhbecaj could certainly be a useful addition to a small squad.
As it stands, however, Norwich surely have one key advantage. They are officially a Premier League team again after sealing their promotion on Saturday – though Leeds can join them in the top flight if they successfully navigate the play-offs.
